Hagia Sophia, Suleymaniye and Blue Mosque Tour

Discover Turkey’s art, history, and culture on this guided walking tour of Istanbul’s mosques.

Head towards the Sultanahmet area, where you will stroll to the first Mosque, Hagia Sophia

Built by the Byzantine emperor Justinian I, the Mosque was initially an Orthodox Christian cathedral in the early days of Constantinople (now Istanbul).

Next, proceed to the magnificent Blue Mosque, initially named The Sultan Ahmed Mosque after its builder, Sultan Ahmed I.

Only successful war-faring sultans had the authority to construct mosques during the early 1600s.

Sultan Ahmed built this grand Mosque against his counsel’s advice, lacking achievements, leaving behind a lasting legacy.

The Mosque got its nickname, the Blue Mosque, from the blue tiles adorning its interior, featuring geometric patterns and floral designs.

Last, take Suleymaniye Mosque tour on the third hill of Istanbul.

This historic Mosque held the title of the largest Mosque in the city for more than 450 years until 2019.

Apart from its impressive size, this Mosque bears the architectural design of Mimar Sinan, a renowned figure in Istanbul’s architectural history.
